Welcome...
Hi, I'm Anthony Treas
About Me
It is a great joy to be doing something I love, however, it has not always been this way. I struggled for years trying to find something to put my heart and soul into.
I knew I had something to give, I just didn't know what exactly.
Have you ever felt like you knew what you wanted to do, but just wasn't sure if was your gift or talent. I had always been drawn to speaking, coaching, and training.
Yet, there was something holding me back. What was it?
No doubt, tt was myself. No one or anything else was holding me back. It was my lack of self-worth, limiting beliefs, and years allowing my past to dictate my future.
It wasn't until the perfect storm happened that forced me to take a new course.
In 2010, two-months before coming home from my deployment to Iraq, my then wife sent me an email telling me she wanted a divorce when I returned home.
Surprisingly, there was something that saved me. Despite having to deal with PTSD, anxiety, and everything that goes with it, I have always been a bit of a dreamer.
One big dream that I had always wanted to accomplish was finishing a college degree. It was this big goal for me that saved me.
This goal gave me purpose again.
I found the perfect environment to thrive academically. Nonetheless, through the struggles, therapy sessions, and setbacks, I completed a bachelors degree with honors. I also continued on for a master's degree in public health: International Health.
With my life experience, education, and military service, I knew I was finally catching some wind in my sails.
Next, I put all my education to immediate use and became a health educator. I loved it. I loved every part of my job. My boss was great. I had complete autonomy and all my educational training was utilized and further developed.
But, as I mentioned before, I am a bit of a dreamer. I mean that in the most positive sense. I wanted something more. I wanted more time and freedom.
Many years before my deployment and divorce, I had written down that I wanted to have a business that I can run from anywhere in the world.
This was way before the term digital nomad was around. It was my dream to travel. I started to travel a lot when I was not in class. Every school break I took advantage to travel.
I often pondered about my travels while I was a health educator. I loved my job, but I wanted to spread my wings and live my dreams.
Luckily for me, entrepreneurship is in my blood. I started and failed at more business adventures than I could think of. They weren't all failures, yet, I made sure to take with me all the lessons, even though, some lessons didn't come easy or soon enough.
While a health education, I conducted a men's health workshop. After this workshop, I had a light bulb moment. I could turn my job into a business, I thought. Sure enough, I started talking to men about their biggest struggles.
I had gone through similar struggles. I knew what my next step was. With a job I loved, getting paid very well, working in a magnificently beautiful area in Alaska, I quit and started a men's coaching business.
Three years later, with great success as a coach, I felt moved to help people who have a passion for helping people.
I made plenty mistakes starting out as a coach. Yet, because of my podcast, I met a lot of other coaches, and they were making the same mistakes. Frustrated, many of them quit and moved onto other things.
I felt inspired to help new coaches bypass all the common mistakes new coaches make.
I have been able to take all my business experiences and simplify the process for new coaches to set up there business properly right from the beginning.
Now, I get to share with new coaches how to avoid these mistakes and build a solid coaching business foundation right from the start.
Onto my next adventure, With love,
